When the Wrong Judgmental Call Is Made

In the case where the life of another individual depends upon sound judgment, the person making that decision is accountable for the out-come of the call made.

It is expected of those who are in positions to hold the lives of others in their hands, to make the right judgmental call to save a life or to prevent harm.  There are too many errors made by those who hold such positions due to poor judgment, or an uncaring attitude that results in loss of lives in the medical field of science and elsewhere.

The Wrong Call

This is a medical judgmental call that perhaps cost the life of a patient.
Her physician wrote a standing order:
Give Tylenol #3 every four hours.
This patient had been taking Tylenol #3 for several weeks as ordered.  She had become dependent upon this medication, and would ask for it prior to the time of which her doctor prescribed.

Case in Point

8:00 p.m.  Patient was given Tylenol #3 per doctor’s order.
10:00 p.m.  This patient is asking for another Tylenol #3. The medication is denied based on her doctor’s orders. The patient is angry. She states she is in too much pain to wait.
10:15 p.m.  I received a phone call from this patient’s daughter. She stated, her mother is being denied her medication. And that if she does not get it immediately, she will come to the facility and make sure that she does. The daughter was told this patient has been given Tylenol #3 at 8:00 p.m., according to her doctor’s orders. And that she will receive the Tylenol #3 at 12:00 a.m., per her doctor’s orders.
10:30 p.m.  I received a phone call from the patient’s doctor. He stated, the daughter of this patient has called him. And that she is very upset about her mother being in pain and needing her medication. I informed the doctor that Tylenol #3 was given to this patient at 8:00 p.m., according to his orders, to give every four hours. And that based on his orders, Tylenol #3 would be given at 12:00 a. m. He said, “Go ahead and give her the Tylenol #3 now. “ Per doctor’s order, Tylenol #3 was given at 10:50 p.m.

Three days later this patient became severely ill. Her diagnosis was said to be a poison found in her blood.  Following that diagnosis shortly thereafter, she expired due to what was called, cardiac failure.

About This Medication:  Acetaminophen and Codeine (Combined) Tylenol 3
Side Effects: addiction
Painkiller, Narcotic

As with any narcotic, if taken incorrectly, it can be harmful,

Trusting God in the Midst of a Battle is a Challenge

The things that challenge our trust in God also, challenge our confidence within ourselves. These are the challenges that comes to weaken our hope and test our faith.

When facing challenges that are so furious and you feel the intense of the force from their aggression against you, the battlefield becomes yours, and your enemies. You seek for Hope and it appears to be too far to reach. You call for Faith, and it does not answer.

Instead, you see a stormy sky filled with a horrible darkness, and hears the loud sounds of thunder that shakes the ground upon which you stand. You look for Strength, and you see the fiery veins of lightning hitting the ground, and the destruction it causes come near you from each hit that shakes every nerve in your entire being. You desire Peace but instead, the challenges increase, and you hear a voice from within you cry out to God for help; the sky clears, and the sun appears.

There comes a time when we have to place the battle in God’s hands, and wait to see his glorious power prevail on our behalf.

My personal thoughts

Regardless of the challenges, the sun will always shine again, Hope will return, and Faith will conquer.  We become stronger and wiser with each battle from the challenges that are placed upon us. Within ourselves a special kind of trust and peace dwells in our heart and soul, that gives us confidence.
“They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength”. The prophet Isaiah

Should The World Be Concerned About A Deadly Virus Outbreak?

In the year of February 1996, scientists revealed that countless numbers of deadly viruses are lurking in the world, that they have no cures for. These scientists warned that, “At sometime, somewhere, there will be an outbreak that will destroy the entire world.” They informed that “One drop of infected blood, can wipe out a whole city.”

These scientists further stated, that the United States has come face to face with the full blown viral crises that there are no cures for.

Women and Girls Suffering in Silence Because of Fear

#Domestic Violence

This is the story of every female, both young and older who is in a relationship with someone who abuses them physically and sexually; and torments them psychologically.

When Help Comes Too Late or Never Comes

These are the sad souls of females who lives in a prison locked behind the corridors of fear of their captor, suffering in silence. Many of whom have children who are affected by the violence within their environment. These women know if they expose the person who they fear, they will suffer a harsh punishment that could result in the loss of a child, their own life, or both.

Children living in domestic violence are affected with unhappy memories that cannot be erased.

From the Story: Life with Father

“Life with my father was a time of which I have no good memories. The one thing that often comes to my mind when I think of my father is the day he showed me a gun and said, I am going to kill your mother with this.” the son of a battered woman.

Wicked Neighbors

The Stolen Trash Bin
In the late evening around 9:00 P.M., while my family and I were watching television, we heard a noise outside. As we watched, someone in a truck loaded our trash bin on and drove away. The theft was reported to Law Enforcement.

When the Police Officer heard our complaint, he asked, if we had paid our waste bill? He said, it was possible that we might have forgotten to pay the bill, and the company picked up the trash bin.  We assured him, our bill was paid up-to-date.  After having written the report he left.

While we were thinking that perhaps this individual would return later, to cause trouble or attempt a break in, the officer returned with our trash bin. He said, while he was driving away from our home, he received a call that, there was an accident at an intersection close by our neighborhood, that involved a truck running a red light and hitting another vehicle, and trash strewn over the street.

He said, when he arrived at the scene, there was the trash bin in the middle of the intersection. The officer said, he initially did not believe our story, and apologized. He informed us that he was going to tell the communities to, “Be on the lookout for trash bin thieves.”

There are some neighbors who are wicked regardless, of what you do to try and have a peaceful relationship with, will reject you. Neighbors who steal and cause arguments in the community are not there to live peaceful, and to help protect their neighborhood.

There have been others who have reported, neighbors stealing water from their water hydrants, and vegetables from their gardens among other forms of theft. The neighbor who stole the steaks off the grill from her neighbor living next door, and lied to the Police Officers, who confronted her with the evidence of grease that led from the grill next door onto her porch, and others is evidence of wicked neighbors.

What is The Message Given to Our Children?

Our children see war on the streets, and from the sky, caused by gunfire, bombs and missiles.
They hear of young people like themselves, being abused by sex and violence. There are too many
people dying, too much blood has been shed, and too many lives have been destroyed.
The lives of young people are the price paid.

The Price We Must Pay For Our Father's Sins is a story of a family who paid the price for violence caused by adults. It is sad when young people lose their freedom to enjoy life, and death becomes the ultimate price they have no choice to escape.

The Beast within the Mind

A News Headline Story

A 10-year –old girl was brutally murdered by a 26-year-old male who lived in the same apartment.
The child was strangled and sexually assaulted. The man told the  investigator who questioned him after having seen the child’s clothing in a plastic bag inside of the man’s bedroom closet , asked him “Where is the Girl?” his response was “She is there. I hit her and chopped her up.” He informed the authorities, of his intentions to eat the child’s flesh.
When we closely examine the acts of violence that are occurring in high numbers, the majority of them are committed by teenagers and young adults, both males and females.

The Beast
The beast is an evil spirit. He is the demon the bible speaks of as “Your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion walks about seeking whom he may devour.”  (l Peter 5: 8) K.J.V)
His target is very young undisciplined minds. The beast has no conscious. The mind that he possesses destroys and kills due to lack of consciousness.  The mind that is left idle is an open invitation for unrighteous thoughts to enter. Young people should be encouraged to find positive things to do, and to avoid negative thoughts and people who have no plans for their future that includes positive goals for achievements.
The mind of a demon possessed person is that of the 26-year-old male in the case above.  No person with a conscious could commit the evil act that he did.
Demon __ an evil spirit; a devil; an atrociously wicked or cruel person; an evil passion or influence; a person of great energy; a supernatural being classed between gods and men.
Demon Possession_  to cause to be dominated or moved by passion, madness, or an evil spirit.
Demon Oppression_ to weigh down as weariness does, depress

Children Caught in Cross Fire: Violent Deaths

(The Worst Yet is Expected to Come)

The above headlines were reported in the year of 1995. That prediction has come to our world in this present time. "Homicide rates are at highs for teenage boys," according to researchers with a population Reference Bureau. They noted, that among all homicide victims, three-fifths are young adults. According to their report; "From preschool to age 14, children are likely to be murdered now, than at any time in decades."

The experts for this study warned, this is no statistic blip, no brief violent era that will soon level off. “The worst is yet to come.” Said a criminal justice dean.

23-year-old man was killed because of Hate

On a cold November night a 23-year-old male was marched into a wooded area, in near freezing weather, without his clothing to a sand pit by his executioners 3 males ages 17, 19 and 29. These three males pistol whipped, punched and shot the 23-year-old male 9 times. He was lured from his job by the three who pretended they wanted to be friends with him. The 23-year-old male was a homosexual.

The Mirror of Society Part 2 Crimes Committed by Young Criminals

(Sadistic and Violent)
A 12-year-old girl was sadistically murdered by two teenage girls; ages 16 and 18. After the 12-year-old girl had been lured into the car and driven for several hours, the 16-year-old girl grabbed her from behind by her hair, and pressed a knife to her throat. The two older girls removed her from the car and committed this sadistic act: They sodomized her with a tire tool, choked her with a cord, beat her, and sliced her legs with a knife. Then, the girls soaked a blanket in gasoline, threw it over her body, and burned her while she was still alive.
Motive: The 16-year- old girl, accused the 12-year- old girl of “stealing her lover.”

A 29-year-Old Pizza Delivery Man Attacked by Teenage Girls

When the man arrived with the pizza, and cold drinks the girls had ordered, he was sprayed in the eyes with hair spray, hog-tied, blind-folded, kicked, and beaten. Then he was loaded into the back of his truck and driven to an isolated field, where the girls discussed exploding firecrackers in his nose and ears. But instead, they chose to beat him again with boards containing protruding nails. Then they sat on him and stabbed him repeatedly until they thought he was dead. After they left, one of the girls returned to the scene and slit the man’s throat.  Miraculously, he survived.

We live in a world with both the old and young people, who have no conscious. They torment and kill for pleasure.

The Mirror of Society

The way young people behave in our communities, is the Mirror of Society. It reveals a picture of the world we live in. The young people who you will read about have no respect for others. And neither do they regard the laws. I will begin with two stories today and add more in the days ahead. The source from which these stories are printed reveals the date and place where these events occurred. For the sake of privacy, I will not print the date and the place of location here.

Violent Man Ordered to Marry Girlfriend

A judge has ordered a 25-year-old man who was convicted of punching his girlfriend in the mouth, to marry her within nine months or risk being jailed. The judged stated, "I happen to believe in traditional values: boy meets girl, boy ask girl out, boy and girl go steady, boy and girl get married, and then, the boy and girl start having a family." The man pleaded no contest to domestic violence.

The judge gave the 25-year-old man a suspended four months sentence, fined him $100, placed him on nine months' probation, and ordered him to undergo counseling.

Weakness in the Justice System
We need stronger laws to protect women and children against sexual and violent acts committed against them. This is a worldwide problem.

Questions:

1. Should the judge have ordered this man to marry his girlfriend?
2. How do you feel about the judge's thoughts on relationships?

The cause of many crimes in society is due to failure of parents to accept responsibility of their role in taking proper care of their children, by being good role models.

Parents Who Are Bad Role Models

Father and Teenage Son Involved In a Shootout That Left One Male Dead and Another Injured

A child’s character is mold as he grows from childhood to adult, by those who have a strong influence in his life.
Parents need to accept accountability, and responsibility, for teaching their children how to behave toward others.
Unfortunately, we have some parents who are setting bad examples for their children, by engaging in bad behavior with them.

Case in Point:

A 52-year-old father and his teenage son were involved in a shootout, that left a 24-year-old male dead, and a 19-year-old male injured. This incident occurred, in the early hours on a Saturday morning, when the two young men along with some friends went to the home of the 52-year-old man, and engaged in an argument with his 19-year-old son.

When they drove away, the father and his son pursued them in their vehicle. At some point, they engaged in a confrontation and the shootout occurred. The father was charged with murdering the 24-year-old male, and shooting the 19-year-old male.

*Good parenting molds a boy’s character that will guide him, as he grows from his boyhood into a man. The teachings he receive from those who possesses good characteristic traits, are passed on to him. He in return, will pass them to others.

Questions:

        1.   How do you suggest the father should have handled this situation?
         2.   What example did the father set for his son?

Father Murdered His Children to Avoid Paying Child Support

A 28-year-old father was charged with murdering his 14-month-old daughters, to avoid paying child support. The children were killed by their father after he purchased a life insurance policy on each child, and named himself the beneficiary the following day, after his employer started deducting $800 per month, for child support from his paycheck of $2,000.

History:

The father was presently married to another woman, at the time he killed his daughters.
Prior to killing his daughters, the father had been notified that he owed $400 in a second child support case, and a third child support case was pending.

Every parent should try their best to accept their financial responsibilities for their children. A child should never be treated as their parents property.

To make a child feel as though they are property that is a burden for their parent, will cause the child to feel unloved.

Parents who do not try to make their child comfortable with both parents by sharing everything equal if possible, and treating each other civil, are causing unhappiness to their child who will have unpleasant memories of the parents.

The End of a Gambler’s Road

It was the lies and secrets that resulted in a tragic ending of 16 years of marriage. A husband  is left alone to raise two very young children. His wife is dead, and he is broke. He is concerned that he and their children will not have a place to live.

The Story Unfolded

The father of the two children was at work in the early morning hours, on this particular day; when he was contacted by a detective who told him, “You need to come home.”

Upon his arrival at his home, he saw a moving van, and squad cars in his drive way.  A detective informed him, that his wife was dead. He was told that the sheriff was there to evict him from his home. He discovered that his mortgage was 17 months past-due.

When he looked at his financial statements, he discovered his wife had paid gambling debts, with the money he had given her to pay their bills. All of the money that he had in his savings account was gone.

He said he thought he knew his wife of 16 years. Further stating, “I had no idea what was going on. It all hit me like a brick. First my wife is gone-then my house."

Before his wife committed suicide, she took their children to school; then returned home, and  left a note taped to the front door. Her note stated, “To whom it may concern”

In her note, she informed that her husband knew nothing about the house repossession, and told how to contact him at work.

The woman, who was a compulsive gambler, drove to a nearby mall parking lot; where she crawled into the back seat of her car, and placed a Smith and Wesson .357 magnum behind her right ear and fired.

A relationship built on lies and secrets, is like building a house on a crumbling foundation. It is destined to be destroyed.

Headlines In The News

A 23-year-old beauty queen crowned her successor; then armed herself with a pistol, butcher knife, lighter fluid and a hammer and traveled 250 miles to the home of her boyfriend’s girlfriend’s parents to kill the girlfriend and her parents. The 23-year-old beauty queen discovered her boyfriend was seeing another woman when he did not attend the final pageant.

When she arrived at the other woman parents’ home, she attacked her father with the hammer. The father, who knows martial arts, placed the beauty queen in a headlock position and disarmed her.

“Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous; but who is able to stand before envy.” King Solomon

Where there is Love, there is Freedom
Neither Love nor Freedom can exist in a relationship with a jealousy person. Uncontrolled jealousy is a spiritual weakness that produces; anger, envy, hate, lying, and mischievous thoughts that causes violent acts; destroying others, and self destruction. This behavior is neurotic. Those who become involved in a relationship with a person that want to treat them as their property will lose their freedom; because of the possessiveness behavior of this individual, who do not love them.

Woman Plans to Marry the Man Who Battered Her

A 23-year-old female who has been stabbed repeatedly, arms broken with a hammer by her boyfriend who is also, 23- years -of -age, plans are to marry him in spite of attempts to murder her.

A 34-year-old man beat his 33-year-old wife until she became unconscious; then, placed her in the trunk of a car, and drove to another state where he admitted her into a hospital; she remain in a  coma.

It is easy to get involved in such relationships; but it is difficult to get out. Some women never get out, despite a restraining order.  A woman was murdered in the presence of police officers by her husband, who disregarded the restraining order she had against him. Her husband confronted her at a shopping center; when the police officers arrived, she pleaded with them to save her life; the man ignored the officers commands to put his gun down. Instead, he shot her several times killing her, and then took his own life.

Some women make bold statements such as what they will not take from a man. That is easier said than done. One can end up sleeping with their enemy. (The one whom they have a relationship with)
In the novel “The Price We Must Pay For Our Father’s Sins” when Priscilla informed her husband Jim, she was going to divorce him, she realized a divorce would be useless, because he was never going to allow her to be free from him.

It is impossible to know the mind of any one. A person can appear to be a very loving individual, and actually hate the one who love them.
