Death and Destruction with Diseases and World Hunger Plagues Earth

We can agree that violence, hunger, homelessness, sicknesses, diseases, and death stalk the entire world. Nuclear war remains a possible future threat. Due to the lack of peace between nations, wars have caused a great numbers of injuries and loss of lives.

These words spoken by the prophet John centuries ago, is revealed in our era.
“And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with the sword and with  hunger, and with death, and with the beast of the earth.”  (The prophet John in Revelation 6:8) K.J.V

With each generation these things are increased: Nature has become violent with greater storms and heat, along with other disasters such as earthquakes, landslides, mudslides and lightning strikes. Animal attacks have increased as well. Therefore, all of the disasters we see globally will continue to increase.

The commandments were given for a purpose. They are God's laws put in place for the human race to follow. His Statutes warn us of the consequences to come if we reject God's laws. If we keep them, we are rewarded with his blessings. If we reject him, we see his wrath unleashed. That is why the need to pray for guidance is very necessary.

People who Throw Stones at Others

written by Ellen Jean Barrier

“He that is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone at her.”

People who throw stones at others are those who have taken the position to judge and condemn others for what they believe to be sinful behavior. Such people are not concerned about their own sinful behavior.  They are self-righteous in their beliefs that they are better than those who they condemn.

How I Overcame Obstacles and Reached My Goals by Ellen J. Barrier

I know what it feels like to have things taken away that hard work and finances and time were sacrificed for.  And I know the evil of those who are determined to cause an innocent person to suffer character assignation and financial losses, to accomplish something of interest to them.

I know the feeling of those who have suffered sexual harassment, and have been deemed to be the one at fault after filing a complaint against the person, who has committed such a wrongful act against him or her.

In such cases, a career is lost, and the perpetrator is allowed to go free.

When a complaint is made against one in leadership position, to those at the top where such an individual, being the perpetrator, has friends: When those who are in a position to solve the problem, accept the story that the perpetrator has told to them, and terminate the one who filed the sexual harassment complaint, because the perpetrator recommend that they do so, this is poor leadership.

I am this person. My situation was one that caused loss of income that created a domino effect:  bad credit, foreclosure on home, repossession of vehicles, and personal property.

I understand what it feel like to have worked very hard for a career, and accomplished a goal, and then have all of the time, and finances that were put into the training to not matter, because all of those things that were invested in that career, have been taken away.

Such an effect can interfere with a person’s mental capability and physical health if a way around the challenges that will come, when attempting to restore those things that have been taken away, is not created. There were many nights I experienced nightmares and sleeping disorders.

I overcame the obstacles and reached my goals by not focusing on the challenges

By focusing on opportunities with greater possibilities, I used my talents, and created skills:
Author, musician, singer and songwriter, owner of Barrier’s Books & Associates, a company that sale books, music, health and Personal Care Products, that consists of several websites.
Published two books, and written hundreds of articles.  The book titled, The Price We Must Pay For Our Father’s Sins is an Official Selection for Best Screenplay 2013 At The Beverly Hills Film Festival.

Achievements and Awards Received

A Certificate of Appreciation Was Awarded to Ellen Jean Barrier on March 8, 2013, from the Amnesty International for Her Commitment to the Crucial Fight to End Violence against Women and Girls

From the things that I have experienced, I know there is a purpose for the obstacles that were placed in my life. I gained more than I lost. My company provides information on various subjects that are informative to educate, inspire and motivate people to reach their full potential to achieve success in their goals.

The Expression of Love is Compassion

Love is the greatest gift given. It is compassion expressed for another person.
Love is willing to sacrifice time and something of value with someone else.
Love is not selfish
Love does not harm (Domestic violence does not exist where there is love)
Love protects and secures relationships (Family members never have to pay for the sins of others)

The Man Who Expressed Compassion for Someone else
(Scene: A man has been robbed, beaten and lay near death)

Story as told:
A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.

And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.

But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, and went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.

From this story we can understand the meaning of the Golden Rule: "Do to others as you would have them do to you" (based on Luke 6:31 states And as you would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise)

Source of information: Luke 10:30-35 from the teachings of Jesus Christ

God’s Love is his compassion expressed to the human race.  He gave his Son, Jesus Christ as a sacrificial offering for the sins of the world. It is because of him, that we celebrate Christmas.

Love, forgive. God’s Love is The Greatest Gift of All

Honesty is The Best Policy to Live By

Honesty is built upon the principles of God. It is the foundation of truth that will stand.
History show that lies destroy: Those who practice such behavior, never gains anything of value from the evil they causes.

A life Story:  Woman misled husband in thinking she was paying their debts with the money he gave her.
Scene: This woman has a gambling habit. She has been postponing paying the family debts, and lying to the creditors while using the money instead, to support her gambling habit.  Her husband thinks his wife is paying their creditors, until he gets some disturbing news while at work.  He learns from the sheriff who has contacted him with very bad news:  There is an emergency at his home. He needs to come home immediately.  He discovers he is being evicted from his home due to lack of several payments behind on his mortgage, his wife left him a suicide note. She is dead.  And he is left with two elementary school children to care for and find a place for them to live. His banking account has a few hundreds of dollars in it. After going through his paperwork that his wife handled, he found out about her gambling habit, and the checks she had written to support her habit, rather than paying their debts.

Liars that believe they are too smart to get caught in their plots to commit wrongful acts, and get away without suffering the consequences, are not smart enough to avoid the cost.

A life Story:  A couple sale their property and lies to the church regarding the amount of money they sold it for, so they could keep more money from the sale. The Man Of God knew this couple had sold their property for more money than they said they had. Death is the cost for lying.
Scene: According to this event as written:  Ananias, took the money that he and his wife Sapphira had agreed to give to the church for the sale of their land, and placed it at the apostles feet; Peter said to Ananias, Why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? Why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? Thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.  And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: And great fear came on all them that heard those things.
And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out and buried him.

And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife not knowing what was done, came in. And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said Yea, for so much. Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord?  Behold the feet of them which have buried thy husband are in the door, and shall carry thee out.
Then fell she down straightway at his feet and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in and found her dead; and carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.
Source of information: Acts 5:1-10

All lies are a serious offense. God condemn lying in every form. Wisdom is used when a life can be saved, by withholding the truth. God forgive.

Lesson 1: What is Faith?

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen.
Example:  On a windy day you feel the air, and you see objects blown around.
The wind cannot be seen. Yet, it is the substance and the evidence by the air you feel, and what you see happening. You know that the components within the wind are powerful.

The key word is Hope. It is the power beyond the things you feel and see: It is the power you can focus on to reach your goals. Hope is a component of faith. Faith is power. It is a gift from God.

Do not focus on a challenge, regardless of the force it present
The one big mistake you can ever make in life, as you travel upon your path toward your goal, is to focus on a challenge. What happen when people focus on a challenge? They lose hope. Fear of failure take over their thoughts, they panic and fail. This can cause a person to revert back to the past.

Reverting back to the past life, removes the focus away from the future. It is impossible for the past and the future to be focused on at the same time.  When looking back while going forward, something happens within the mind that causes an imbalance: Fear and panic starts to take control of the body and mind: The person then loses control of the ability to believe that he or she can move forward.

 A life story:
(Scene: The ship is in the middle of the sea, and there is a great storm)
If you have read the story of Peter, a disciple of Jesus, who was able to walk upon the water at Jesus command to come to him upon the water: as long as Peter kept his focus on Jesus he was able to get off his ship, and walk upon the water to meet Jesus. He made the one big mistake:  He took his eyes off Jesus, and begin to focus on the strong wind; immediately, he started to sink because of fear, and he panic. He realized he needed help, so he cried out in distress, “Lord, save me.”  Immediately, Jesus stretched out his hand, and caught him. He then said to Peter, O thou of little faith, and Jesus asked Peter this question: Wherefore did you doubt?

Jesus identified himself when he approached the ship by saying, “Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.” And Peter answered him and said, “Lord, if it be thou, bid me to come unto thee on the water.” And he said to Peter, “Come.”

The writer of this story informs us, the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves; for the wind was contrary. And in the fourth watch of the night, Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. And when his disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying,” It is a spirit.” And they cried out for fear. And he said to them, “Be of good cheer; It is I; be not afraid.” Source of story: Matthew 14: 24-31

Through the storms of life, we long to hear the words Jesus spoke to Peter and those on the ship that was tossed by the strong wind and waves. Be of good cheer. It is I. Be not afraid.

God is our power of hope. Through prayers, and songs of inspirations as well as music, our faith and hope is increased, and many goals are achieved.

The Prisoner of the Suicide Demon

A dark evil presence can harm a person’s entire being, and cause him or her to harm him or herself and others, if this monster living within the mind is not controlled, and is soon defeated.  There is a reason why such things occur within the mind of a person.  Let me take you to a place where a better understanding of such darkness can creep into the mind, and take over a person’s spiritual being.

When evil things happen to people, they can become depressed, and the mental pain becomes too much to endure.  When medications, and alcohol or drugs no longer work, they toss and turn: Sleep no longer welcome them, the desire for food and things they once had the pleasure of enjoying, no longer exist. They live in a world of darkness, tormented by evil. Such a person become lost, the mind will look for ways to escape from this imprisonment.

Nowhere to Run and No Place to Hide
In the mind of such person, another spirit dwells within it, and control the thought process: Panic attacks take over the mind, and interfere with the body chemical makeup:

That person become incompetent to make rational decisions: Death appears to be the answer for many individuals, when voices are telling them to end his or her life.  They shut down their communications with others, because they believe that humans don’t have the answer they need.

The demon living within such a person, do not want that person to pray, because that spirit fear prayer. Prayer brings a spiritual force into the presence of a demon, that cause fear of being forced out of the body it possess.  Demons can be cast out by people possessing the Spirit of God.

Personal Story:
When I was a child, my dad became depressed and contemplated suicide. He was dealing with some financial problems and a boss on his job, that was too demanding, impatient and mean spirited, that overloaded his work production. These problems brought about, issues that became too much for him to endure. I recall hearing him talking about how difficult his boss was to work for. It was his only source of financial income. Finding another job, would have been next to impossible for him, at that particular time. His boss knew that, which is why, he treated my dad with cruelty.

It was through prayer, and other means of family and friends support of interventions that helped my dad to deal with his mental health problems: Showing love, and caring with patience, helped him to overcome the voices he said he heard, telling him to end his life. He started going to church, and singing in a group, and playing piano. He found the strength he needed, to live a peaceful and productive life.

My dad never told my family that he was feeling distressed.  One day, he left home, and was gone longer than usual on his day off from work.  My mother and brothers went to search for him because they felt he might have been harmed by some physical means. When they found him, he was preparing to take his own life. That was when he told them, about his mental illness. Fortunately, they found him at a time that was helpful in preventing him from taking his own life.

The demon that had to be cast out:
Demons can be cast out by people possessing the Spirit of God

This particular person was a female, who had attempted to take her life. She had tried to cut her wrist on this night, her family brought her to church for prayer.

During church service, she stared making loud noises that sounded like an animal: Her eyes became unusually looking, her tongue became like that of an animal. It hung on her chest drooling. When I along with some of the other church members, approached her, she fell to the floor and started rolling over, screaming blood curdling sounds. We placed our hands on her body, and commanded the demon to come out, of her.  He did.

After that night, she kept coming back to church faithful, and giving us positive updates on her health. She read the Bible and sang praises to God, and prayed.  She had experienced some personal problems that were too difficult for her to handle.

Being in a dysfunctional relationship, dealing with financial issues, working in an unfavorable job environment, or dealing with other issues that overload the mind, can result in stressful situations that can cause health problems. Such problems are anxiety and panic attacks that result in loss of sleep and poor or no appetite, along with other mental and health problems.

How to Prevent Becoming the Prisoner of the Suicide Demon
Family and friends can help by listening and giving their Love and Support. Never shut people out of your life.
Talk to God: demons fear him.
Scripture: Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of Peace and Truth (Jeremiah 33: 6) King James Bible
