Trusting God in the Midst of a Battle is a Challenge

The things that challenge our trust in God also, challenge our confidence within ourselves. These are the challenges that comes to weaken our hope and test our faith.

When facing challenges that are so furious and you feel the intense of the force from their aggression against you, the battlefield becomes yours, and your enemies. You seek for Hope and it appears to be too far to reach. You call for Faith, and it does not answer.

Instead, you see a stormy sky filled with a horrible darkness, and hears the loud sounds of thunder that shakes the ground upon which you stand. You look for Strength, and you see the fiery veins of lightning hitting the ground, and the destruction it causes come near you from each hit that shakes every nerve in your entire being. You desire Peace but instead, the challenges increase, and you hear a voice from within you cry out to God for help; the sky clears, and the sun appears.

There comes a time when we have to place the battle in God’s hands, and wait to see his glorious power prevail on our behalf.

My personal thoughts

Regardless of the challenges, the sun will always shine again, Hope will return, and Faith will conquer.  We become stronger and wiser with each battle from the challenges that are placed upon us. Within ourselves a special kind of trust and peace dwells in our heart and soul, that gives us confidence.
“They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength”. The prophet Isaiah

Avoid Living in The Past

           Don"t Get Stuck in Past.-Time

"We can't control our destiny. We can't go back into our past history and make changes. But we can begin this moment by setting a goal and pursuing it for a better life with a greater purpose."

__ Ellen J. Barrier

You Must Release the Past from Your Mind
“But this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth to those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”  Apostle Paul

Avoid living in the past. Accept God’s forgiveness for your wrongdoings, and strive for a better future, and to become a better person.  Otherwise, you will become a prisoner locked behind the corridors of your past.

Living in the Past by Choice
For the individual who are able to make choices, but due to anger and grudges, refuses to let go of the past, he or she made the choice to become a prisoner of their past.  Such individuals are mean spirited people.  Living in their past, only makes them bitter, unkind and unhappy, because they refuge to forget what someone may have said or done to them, that they didn’t like,  and they aren’t about to forget, and in their mind, they are never going to forgive.

The Helpless Prisoner
Some people are afraid to move on.  Therefore, they are living in the past.  There are different reasons for which people are imprisoned in their past.  Fear and unhappiness can hold a person as a prisoner. They  prevent that person from making changes in their lives. They aren’t able to set goals because of the fear and unhappiness they are shackled to. They can't release themselves from their prison.

The cause of fear and unhappiness is oftentimes due to a bad relationship or abuse that such an individual experienced.  Therefore, they would need someone to help them by working patiently with them.  Otherwise, they will remain a prisoner in their past (psychologically). This is a helpless prisoner.

Sleeping on The Job

Nurse Falls from her seat while sleeping

As previous nights a nurse went through her regular routine:  She placed several charts on her lap and sat on a seat at a desk to do her charting. Several minutes later, her head begin bobbing back and forth, and then came the sound of snoring. On this particular night, something happened unexpectedly!
Suddenly she fell off the seat, on to the floor. The sound of the charts made a loud noise, as they fell onto the floor.  She lay sprawled between the charts and the stool, resembling a drunkard.  (She wasn't hurt from her fall)

Nurse’s Profile:
Poor job performance, habitual reporting for work late, visits clubs before coming to work frequently, records false statements concerning the observation of patients; stating a patient slept comfortably throughout the night, when in fact, that individual had been given medication for pain.

Unit:  Post-op Surgical Patients

Questions:
Should sleeping on the job be cause for automatic termination?
What are your feelings concerning those who have a poor job performance?
Did this nurse place these patients’ lives in jeopardy?

Do you want to be free from a negative situation in your life?

There are many negative situations that oftentimes occurs which we have to deal with. Some are sickness, failed relationships, losses, and all kind of things that can cause worry and stress. In the story below we can understand, there are times when we need help that reaches far beyond our abilities.

Story as told:

When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him,
"Wilt thou be made whole?"
The impotent man answered him, "Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another step down before me."
Jesus said unto him, "Rise, take up thy bed and walk."
And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked.
John 5:5-8 (K.J.V)

What this Story Teaches

God has compassion for each of us and cares deeply about our health and all of our needs. This man had been suffering from a disease that left him unable to be self dependent. He was very weak and needed someone to carry him. But he desperately wanted to be cured. He worked hard at trying to get to the healing water. He never gave up. When Jesus saw him, he knew his condition, and that he wanted to be free from the disease that had attacked his body for 38 years.

Regardless of the situation, God has the power to change it. If it is sickness, loss of income or whatever the case may be he can deliver. An angel blessed the water in the pool during a certain season. Afterward, whoever entered the pool first was cured from whatever disease they had. The man was too ill to get there in time to enter the pool. Someone else always got there before him. That was the hinder for him receiving the cure in the water for his disease. Although, it is human nature to get frustrated, after having worked hard to see opportunities keep passing by, one must never give up.

Things occurs that hinders people from receiving cures for their health problems and from reaching their goals, or repairing a failed relationship.

But we know this, when the master of all cures comes on the scene, he can deliver healing.
Do you want to be free from a negative situation in your life?  God Can Make It Happen For You.
